Whether you're into sports or not, you too can score on your
pages. Scoring can create some lovely embellishments and add a flare of
professionalism to your projects.
All Boy by Annette Hardy.
For this All
Boy page I created a Lolly on the right hand page by using a scoring tool
and my trimmer. Simply cut two 12" x 1" strips of paper, and place the paper along
the trimmer (tip: remove the blade,
or your liable to cut instead of score, it's a natural reflex for a scrapper). Simply place the
scoring tool in the gutter of your trimmer and crease the paper, then I
continue to score every ¼" or so. Accordion
fold the lolly and staple the ends together I also scored the circle cuts down
the center to create the clean looking banner on the left page.
Quick tip: I didn't
have a scoring tool for my trimmer so I simply placed a stylus in the gutter
and created a score that way.
There are many different types of scoring tools in
available, so if you have one use it, if not the stylus in the trimmer works
great! Your challenge today is to do a little scoring on your layout. So score big, I can't wait to see what you create and see you in class!
