Thanksgiving one-hour challenge

I know most of you are really busy this week getting ready for Thanksgiving, so I wanted this week's one-hour challenge to be extra quick. I discovered a project on Becky Higgins' blog that I thought would be really fun for us all to do this time of year. You can read about the project here and here.

You can either make a wall chart like she did, or you could use it as inspiration for a scrapbook page. Simply create a fun title on a 12x12 page, and let your family fill in the details this week. You could create one for each family member, or have one for your entire family.

In the next 60 minutes, create a blank gratitude canvas.  By participating, you'll use up your stash, complete a project, or even have the chance to win cardstock from Die Cuts with a View, markers from Bic, and stamps from Papertrey Ink.

You have 60 minutes to complete the project. At the end of the 60 minutes, photograph or scan your project, and upload the image to the Club CK gallery (learn how to upload your project here). Then leave a comment below with the URL link to your page by 12:15 p.m. MST today. For example, your comment could look like this: "My page is posted here: http://clubcreatingkeepsakes.com/media/p/31086.aspx." One winner will be randomly selected who participates in the live challenge.

Note: If you're new to Club CK, you'll need to create a free account here in order to be able to upload your project. I suggest registering now so your account will be active by the time you complete your project.

If you can't join us for the live challenge, you can still enter to win! The second prize will be awarded to one randomly selected person who leaves the URL link to his or her page in the comments section below by 9:00 a.m MST, Monday, November 29, 2010. The winners will be announced at the bottom of this article.

Can't wait to see what you create!

--Erin Weed, Club CK social director

Here's mine! Feels a little weird to be submitting a l/o without pictures, but thanks for the motivation to 'pre-scrap' my family's Thanksgiving blessings.

Here is mine! I made it so I could just slip it into my scrapbook when I am done to use for a keepsake.

I saw this on her blog the other day and have been pondering it so this is a great challenge. Just sorry I missed the original time for this challenge, DH is home this week and we went to breakfast and then to run errands. I will work on this to submit for the second time slot! Great job ladies ... love your take on the challenge.

Great idea! Here is mine. It can't be completed until everyone in my family has had a chance to fill in their box, so use your imagination :)

Every year at Thanksgiving we do something like this.  I have a little 8x8 scrapbook that I keep tucked away all year long.  It only comes out once a year on Thanksgiving day.  When I send the invitations out for people to come for dinner, I tell them that they need to bring a current picture of themselves and if they don't remember or don't have a picture, to be prepared to have one taken on the spot.  Once we have all the pictures in hand then I pull the little scrapbook out and everybody has 1 page.  They put their picture on the page and then have to write what they are thankful for.  Even if this is the one and only year they were going to be at my house, they still have to write in the book.  Not only does it help them to know that someone does care, but when we look back on the years past we can remember the memories and continue to make new ones.  The different lo's people have here will be PERFECT for this yearly project my family does.

This was so fun & easy!  I loved the simplicity of making something for the whole family to share what they are thankful for.  I can't wait to take this to Thansgiving tomorrow!  Thanks for the challenge & for getting me "thinking outside of the box!"

Here are four 6 x 6 I did Thanksgiving while the turkey was cooking.

All four only took me one hour to complete.

Here's my take on the Thanksgiving poster, it's 12x12 so I can include it in my book. I had all the people who attended our Thanksgiving celebration sign it. We are so thankful for each one of them!

Count Your Blessings - Thanksgiving one-hour challenge – 2nd Chance

clubcreatingkeepsakes.com/.../398190.aspx

On Thanksgiving Day we joined my step-son and daughter-in-law at their house for a wonderful turkey dinner.  This LO represents the blessings noted by each of us who were together on Thanksgiving Day.  Thanks for such a great challenge and giving us the 2nd chance.
